Grace Margaret was the daughter of John E. Brown and Nancy

BROWN- Grace Margaret 98, Northern Cambria died July 18, 2000 at Indiana Hospital. Born Dec. 18, 1901 in Green Township, Indiana County, daughter of John E. and Margaret (Kessler) Brown. She lived at her present address since 1915. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Jay in 1916 and Ralph, in 1986, sister, Louise Arford in 1991; two infant sisters and one infant brother, and nephew, Dwight Brown.
Survived by sister, Mae, with whom she lived for 94 years; sister-in-law, Anna Brown, Indiana, niece, Susan Arford, Hollidaysburg; nephews, Luther Brown, Stuart, Fla; Dr R. R. Brown, Homer City; and Reginald Arford, Hollidaysburg and a number of grandnieces and grandnephews
She was a member of Church of Christ, Indiana. A graduate of Indiana University with a degree in secondary education. She retired in 1861 from Marsteller School of Northern Cambria School District, after 40 years of teaching. A member of the county, state and national organizations of retired teachers, and a life member of the state organization and of Indiana University of Pennsylvania Alumni Association.
Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. thursday, Paster Lawrence Barr and the rev. Stephen Johnson. Interment Salem Cemetery.
