Alfred Andersen, one of three children of Marinus and Ane Catherine Nelsen Andersen, was born December 10, 1908, on a farm near Ruskin, Nebraska. He passed away at his home in Superior, Nebraska, December 30, 1981, at the age of 73 years and 20 days.

Alfred was united in marriage to Irene Bargen and to this union a daughter was born. He farmed in the Cadams area and was employed by the Ideal Basic Industries.

Alfred was preceded in death by both of his parents and his daughter, Margaret Ann, who died November 22, 1980.

Survivors include his wife, Irene; a brother, Kenneth Andersen; a sister, Mrs. Harold (Marie) McKevitt, both of Superior; a son-in-law, Andrew Jack McMullen of Kearney; three grandsons, Bill, James and Jack McMullen.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 2, 1982, at 10 a.m. at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Webb officiating. Pallbearers were Richard Dominy, Dennis Way, Joe Schendt, Omar Miller, Donald Gebers, Richard McKineey and David Berens. "He Touched Me" was sung by Bruce Beitler with David Francis as organist. Burial was in the Shelton Cemetery. Arrangements by Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior.
