Hugh was born in Portland ,Oregon and graduated from Canyonvill High School. He went into the army right out
of high school. When he came home he lived most of his life in Eugene. He drove log truck for the better part of his life but did do long haul for awhile,
He loved to fish and camp mostly on the Oregon coast and sometimes in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon. Fishing up
the McKenzie river with his brother-in-law Don was one of the
highlights of his life.
Hugh married in 1963 Jundia Louise Clark. They later divorced.
He also leaves behind a very special friend Joyce Morton. They were married for a number of years but decided that
marriage wasn't for them and remained friends the rest
of their life.
He was a great help to our mother, coming over whenever he could to take care of the chores that only men seem able to
do. making sure she had wood in the house and that her
car was doing ok.
He is missed....
