Parke N. Myer of Coatesville

Born on October 1, 1927, in New Holland, he was the son of the late Aaron J. Sr. and Emma Nonnenmocher Myer.
Parke was a farmer, coal hauler, school bus driver, and a laborer for Raymond Doutrich. He also had a feed grinding business.
He was the owner of Myershaw Company Inc. excavating at the time of his death.
He was a former member of Calvary Monument Church, and was an active member of Bacton Hill Bible Church for many years serving in various positions, most recently as Sunday School Teacher and Greeter.
Parke was an avid reader of the Bible and he enjoyed listening to Bible radio programs.
He enjoyed watching the Phillies and the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marian Edna Witmer Myer; two sons, Wesley Myer, husband of Sharon, of Coatesville, and Rodney of Coatesville; three daughters, Cynthia Ranson, wife of Joseph, of Charleston, Ill., Roslyn Finger, wife of Wayne, of Quakertown, and Nadine Ingrassia, wife of Anthony, of Coatesville; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; two brothers, Nevin Myer of Narvon, and Aaron "AJ" Myer of Lancaster; and two sisters, Grace Myer of Lancaster, and Arlene Dolly Lapp of Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walt and Melvin Myer; and his sister, Blanche White.
Parke's Life Celebration will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20, with services beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Bacton Hill Bible Church, 2109 Conestoga Road, Route 401, Malvern.
Interment will be at Philadelphia Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Parke's name to Bacton Hill Bible Church; or the Water Street Rescue Mission, of Lancaster.
Family services are being handled by Mauger-Givnish Inc. Funeral Home, "A Life Celebration Home," of Malvern.
