DEATH OF L.D. COALE
At his home near Coal Monday afternoon, April 21st, after being in poor health for several years.

Mr. Coale was born near Clarksburg, Mo., December 12, 1850; was married to Mary Helen Raymond September 28, 1876, of Coal. To this union one son was born - Gus Coale, who died a few years ago. He leaves a loving companion, who was always ready to attend to his many wants in those years of his affliction. Two grandsons - Iver and Dorsey Coale, whom they have been a mother and father to as their parents were both dead.

Brother Willie Weir preached his funeral at Good Hope church, April 23, to a large crowd of sorrowing relatives and friends, after which his body was laid away in Good Hope cemetery. L.D. being the last of a large family of children. His parents were Uncle Billie and Aunt Rhoda Coale, as many people always called them, and most everyone addressed him as Uncle Curg.

Mr. Coale had lived on the old home place of his fathers since a small boy. He has many friends that will miss him, as well as his dear companion, who is so lonely.

The pallbearers were five of his nephews and one great-nephew, P.W., J.H. and S.P. Hallford and Billie and Lewis Coale and A.E. Duden.

Mrs. Coale and grandsons, Iver and Dorsey Coale want to thank the neighbors and friends for the many kind things they have done for her through her husband's sickness and death.
