Jonathan's parents moved from Northampton Township of Burlington County, New Jesey to the Wayne Township in Preble County, OH in about 1816 when Jonathan was only about two years old. His sister, Mary, was born in the Wayne Township and then the William Clevenger family moved to the Gratis Township of Preble County where they had seven additional children and appear in the 1820, 1830, 1840 & 1850 censi.
Jonathan & Sarah were married April 10, 1855 in the Town of New Hope, Preble County, OH. They appear in the 1880 census living in the Paw Paw Township of Wabash County, IN.
Note that the Northampton Township is now part of the City of Mt. Holly, NJ.
