When I was little I called Uncle George, "That other man". I believe that was because he spent time with me . When I got old enough to go to the Hanover Days of 49, he took me and we had such great times together., I thought of him as a second father. He was a farmer most of his life, farming in Hanover area and also moved to Washington State and had a dairy farm there before moving back to Hanover to farm there again. When he actually retired he bought a pool table and at that time my children were teen-agers and Uncle George taught them to play pool. His wife Aunt Gladys sang at our wedding. She had a wonderful voice.
