Marcus was a son of Daniel Benjamin Anglin and Sarah "Sallie" Burnham. He would have been too young (13-17) to serve in the Civil War.
He married Julia Ann Boyer 1 August 1872 in Tennessee, and they had five children
The book Of Grave Importance, published in 1984, which contains inventories of cemeteries in Baxter County, Arkansas, indicates that Marcus is buried in Tucker Memorial Cemetery in that county. But there is no record of such a burial, there is no gravestone, and it is highly unlikely a corpse would be transported for burial the distance involved, under the conditions then pertaining. It is roughly 350 airplane miles from Stratford to Mountain Home, and perhaps half-again as far over mountain roads, most of which were then unpaved, with no rail connection, and in the early years of the worst depression ever, and the mountain folk generally poor to begin with.
Nevertheless, as of May 2011, there appears to be no record of Marcus in this cemetery either.
