Joyce Elaine Worden, 63, Boiling Spring Lakes, N.C., died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 1989, at her home. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 30, 1989, at Cape Fear Alliance Church with the Rev. Gabriel Galdo officiating.

A former resident of Greenwood, Mrs. Worden had lived in North Carolina since 1979 and was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was a beautician with Magic Mirror Beauty Salon and operated the Cheese Haus with her husband. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and National Hairdresser's Association.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Worden; two sons, David Worden, Riverside, Calif. and Kenneth Worden Jr., Boiling Spring Lakes; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Bush, Tigerton; Mrs. Pamela Turner, Southport, N.C.; and Mrs. Sue Adams, Ohatchee, Ala. three brothers, Robert Mead, Chilton, Wash. James Mead, Marshall, N.C. and Roger Mead, Barron two sister, Mrs. Shirley Wong and Mrs. Phyllis Cook, both of Cherokee Village, Ark. and 19 grandchildren.
