Musician, Composer. He was a 1970 graduate of the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY, and an accomplished jazz instrumentalist specializing in saxophone, flute and small wind instruments. He was especially renowned for his work on soprano saxophone. During his career he peformed and recorded with such diverse acts as Frank Sinatra, Astrud Gilberto, Sinead O'Connor, Simon and Garfunkel, Anne Murray and Judy Collins to name just a few; he also appeared on the soundtracks of numerous major movies, including "When Harry Met Sally", "Annie", "King of Comedy" and Robert DeNiro's "A Bronx Tale". He was first saxophonist with the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra and spent fourteen years touring and recording with Chuck Mangione. He was on his way to a concert performance with Mangione's band in Buffalo, NY, when the plane on which he was travelling, Continental Flight 3407, crashed, killing everyone on board.
