Loses Daughter.
Mr., Mrs. Tom Swafford have the sympathy of this community in the loss of their daughter, Mrs. Nora Bales, who passed away in Research hospital in Kansas City late last week. She died as a result of an operation. She had been in poor health for some time and had undergone several operations. She leaves her husband, Clifford Bales of the home in Ravena, her parents, two sisters, Mrs. Ed Jameson of Independence and Mrs. Omer Taylor of north of Cameron and two brothers, Woodrow of northeast of Polo, and John of the parental home. Mrs. Bales was 31 years of age. Funeral services were held in North Kansas City with burial in Liberty. Those going from here beside the family were Mrms. Tom Dixon, Miss Sarah, Lewis and Harry Wyant. Mrs. Bales was a cousin of Mrs. R.R. Leamer.
