Funeral Service for R.S. Bunch Monday Afternoon
The remains of R.S. Bunch, who died February 3, at 3:30 p.m., at Carlsbad, reached Lampasas Monday morning on the 10:29 Santa Fe and were taken to the Groves cemetery where burial was made at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Services were conducted by Rev. A.N. Smith, of the Missionary Baptist Church. The body was accompaned here by the deceased's wife, Mrs. R.S. Bunch, her sister, Mrs. Jack Clark of Eldorado and her two brothers, Jack Mitchell of Miles and Jerome Mitchell of Eldorado.
Mr. Bunch was born Sept. 21, 1883, in Arkansas and came to Texas and Lampasas county with his parents when he was three years of age. He was married August 6, 1908, to Miss Ammer Mitchell of Topsy and was a prosperous farmer of the Izoro community until about eighteen months ago when he was overcome by ill health and was forced to sell his farm and go to Carlsbad in search of health. He had been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for more than twenty years and was said to be a good christian man.
The deceased leaves a wife, Mrs. R.S. Bunch, a mother, Mrs. J.H. Bunch of Izoro, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Sherrod Williams of Berne, Arkansas; Mrs E.L. Byrd of Jacksonville; Mrs. H.E. Groves of San Angelo; Mrs. Joe T. Smith of Izoro; A.G. Bunch of Rotan; J.T. Bunch of Oklahoma; Lee Bunch of Wright City, Okla., and George Bunch of Florence.
The stricken family has the sympathy of a wide circle of friends who are sorry to learn of the death of this good man.
