The Morrow county medical examiner, Dr. L. D. Tibbles, conducted an investigation Monday following the death of a Grant county man that morning near Heppner. Edward Gienger, 66, of Courtrock suffered a coronary attack while driving his car on Highway 207 eight miles east of Heppner at 8:30 a.m. Monday. Dr. Tibbles pronounced Gienger dead at the scene of the accident.
Mrs. Mildred Warren of Long Creek, a passenger in the Gienger car, was bruised but not seriously injured when the car rolled into a barrow pit. She was taken to Heppner by a passing motorist. The two were enroute to Heppner when Gienger was stricken.
