Francis Harriet Morris, nee Mosley, was born in Terel county, Illinois, August 17, 1833, and departed this life September 25, 1924, being 91 years, 1 month and 8 days of age. On January 27, 1858, she was united in marriage to Chas. Morris. To this union were born eleven children, four sons and seven daughters. Four of these daughters together with her husband, preceded her in death.

She, with her husband, moved to Missouri about 1880, settling in Clark county where she has resided until called by death.

When 13 years of age she professed conversion and united with the Christian church. On moving to Missouri she brought her membership and put it in at Neeper where she remained a member until called to her reward. She leaves to mourn her departure four sons, Eldridge of Keithsburg, Ill; Arthur, of Williamstown; William, of Gregory and Thomas, of Antioch, likewise three daughters, Mrs. Clara Jane Webster, of Edina; Mrs. Alba Webster, of Antioch and Mrs. Nancy Ann Chewning, of Monmouth, Ill.; besides many grand children and great grand children, also many other relatives and a host of friends.

This good "mother in Israel,' because of adverse circumstances, has not been able to enjoy many of the present day advantages, but she did her part the best she could and today is living her life, and higher ambitions in her sons and daughters; grand-sons and grand-daughters.

The funeral services were held from the Cedar Grove church, conducted by Rev. Cooney, after which the deceased was laid to rest in the cemetery nearby.
