Funeral services for Lewis E. Larson, 79, of Frankston were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. J.A. Griffin officiating.
Burial was in the Reese Cemetery.
Mr. Larson died in a Jacksonville hospital Wednesday, Jan 9, after a short illness.
He was born Oct. 12, 1911 in Cherokee County, having lived most of his life at Reese before moving to Frankston in 1968. Mr. Larson was a retired farmer-dairyman and a veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Larson and a son Ronnie Larson.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Larson and Don Larson of Frankston; three sisters, Mrs. Beula May and Mrs. Gwendolyn Lake of Reese, and Mrs. Grace Loper of Jacksonville; one granddaughter, Breann Larson of Flint; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Herbert Riley, Edward Reagan, Hubert Lewis, Jimmy Lewis, Gary Lewis, Alvin Shattuck and Larry Coker.
