Cullar, Annie Marie
BONHAM - Graveside services for Annie Marie Cullar, 98, of Bonham will be held at Willow Wild Cemetery at 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009. Mr. Charles Wrenn will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, prior to services. Mrs. Cullar passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009, at Seven Oaks Nursing Home.
Mrs. Cullar was born the daughter of Albert and Ada Edna Wright Taylor on April 21, 1910, in Ashdown, Ark. She married Thomas Neal Cullar on Jan. 1, 1929, in Vernon. They, with their children, lived near Quanah from 1945 until 1958 when they moved to Bonham.
Mrs. Cullar was engaged in many community activities including AARP, Home Demonstration Club, Nunnely Community Center, Fort Inglish Museum and North Side Church of Christ.
Survivors include sons, Raymond Taylor Cullar of Fredericksburg, Va., and Thomas Melvin Cullar of Bonham; grandchildren, Phyllis Devoll Tapp of Wichita Falls, Patricia Devoll Hernandez of Childress, David Cullar of Anna, Jennifer Cullar Burch of Fredericksburg, Va., and Meredith Cullar of Nashville, Tenn.; eight great-grandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren, and sister Jimmie Thrash of Kingsland.
Those preceding her in death were her husband Neal Cullar who died on May 1, 1997, a daughter Beulah Mae Cullar Devoll and a grandchild Janice Devoll Morton.
