Bertha M. Lowerre, widow of Charles Lowerre, died yesterday, at 242 East Main street, the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Aschoff.
She was born in Bushville, N. Y. Aug. 30, 1883 and married Charles Lowerre in 1902. He died in 1939. She lived in Middletown for the past 50 years.
She is survived by one son, Walter Lowerre, RD 1; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Aschoff and Mrs. Alberta Bomgardner, Middletown; one sister, Mrs. Mary Shadbolt, Highland; one brother, Otis Swarthout, Mongaup Valley, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the Applebee Funeral Home with the Rev. W. Stanley Risch, Bloomingburg Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Wallkill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening.
