John Carl Cowger was the Blacksmith in Jaqua [it no longer exists (1887-1919)], Cheyenne County, KS. in 1900 census.
He married Alice May (Williams) November 14, 1905. They lived west of Jaqua on a homestead until 1910 when they moved west into Colorado to homestead near Hale,Yuma County, CO. Then in 1915 moved his family to Denver, Colorado area.
They had 4 sons (all who lived), 2 born in Kansas, 2 born in Colorado.
