THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, December 20, 1999, page 4B: 'Carra Sue Hulen, 86, of Greenville, formerly of Paris died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at Brair Cliff Nursing Home in Greenville where she had been a longtime resident following an automobile accident in Paris in 1973. Bright-Holland Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 21, at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Weems officiating. Mrs. Hulen was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Milton to Marvin and Carra Ray Ashley. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Paris. Surviving are a grandson, Rick Morgan of Wyoming; one great-grandson, Rick Morgan of Casper; six step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jewell Newberry of Waco. She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Don Annett; her former husband, E. W. 'Shorty' Hulen of Paris; her parents; and eight brothers and sisters.'
