Mr. William Ascough died at the hospital in Bluefield, W. Va., on Friday, Feb. 4th, from pneumonia following an operation.
He was thirty years old and born in England.
For some years he had been superintendent of mines at Ashland.
He is survived by his wife who was Miss Julia Wray, daughter of Mr. P. R. Wray, one son four years old, mother, one brother and three sisters.
The body was brought to the home of Mr. P. R. Wray two miles west of Martinsville, and was buried Sunday in the Wray Cemetery.
