Dr. Noland died at his rooms at the Kirkwood Hotel which he had owned 10 years. He was an 11th District delegate to the Democratic national convention. He retired from dental practice at Bloomington in 1950 Before he opened his office there in 1934 he practiced at Roachdale and Spencer. He came to Indiana in 1923.
Since 1954 Dr. Noland had been editor and publisher of the Indiana Democrat. Previously he owned and published the Spencer Evening World and Lafayette Leader. He sold his Lafayette interests in 1942.
He was a graduate of the St. Louis University School of Dentistry and a Democratic nominee for Congress of the Seventh District in 1942. In 1951, he was named advisor to the office of the Economic Stabilization Administration during the Korean War. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge and Red Men.
