O. Dean Brubaker, 74, 1448 Carson Valley Road, Duncansville, died Monday afternoon, March 18, 1996, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born July 23, 1921, in Frankstown Township, the son of George and Hattie (Hoover) Brubaker. He married Ethelmae M. Barr Aug. 24, 1947, in Cumberland, MD. She died April 15, 1989.

Mr. Brubaker was a life member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren and member of the Optics Sunday School class.

He retired as a warehouse foreman from the Gage Co. July 31, 1986, after 34 and a half years of service.

Mr. Brubaker was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a technician fifth grade with Company C, 1881st Engineer Aviation Battalion, in the South Pacific.

He was a member of th Horseshoe Drifters Camping Club of Blair County.

Surviving are a son, Robert D. of Juniata; a daughter, Nancy M., at home; a brother, Frank I. of Duncansville; and five grandchildren.

A daughter, Shirley J. Walters, preceded him in death May 24, 1978.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Wednesday at Sorge Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg, and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.

BRUBAKER - Services for O. Dean Brubaker will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren by Pastor G. Daniel Ludwick and R. Eugene Miller, minister. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Home Nursing Hospice, 201 Chestnut Ave., P.O. Box 352, Altoona, Pa. 16603.
