He will be missed by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mae Vickers; daughters, Darlene Penrod and Johnny Hampton, Martha and David Wallace, Linda and David Edwards; sons Dillard W. Vickers Sr., and Donald Vickers; sister Eunice Fromberg and brother Lee Vickers; eight grandchildren and two half great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother Dillard Lee Vickers Sr. and Nettie Ellison Vickers.
(D) owned Sprinkle's Body Shop for 20 years and worked for Krause Motors for 16 years. He was musically accomplished on the mandolin.
Visitation was Wednesday September 5, 2001 at Harrell Funeral Home Chapel in Dripping Springs. Funeral Service was held Thursday, September 6, 2001 followed by interment at Phillips Cemetery.
