Spangler, a resident of the Walker Community, was shot in the chest when he lifted his 16 gauge shotgun from the rear of a truck.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Odell Spangler; two sons, Doyle Spangler and Charles Spangler, both of Jonesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Louise Henderson, of Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Jeter and Mrs. Otto Jordan, both of
Dodson; two brothers, Oscar Spangler of Jonesboro and E. J. Spangler of Dodson; and four grandchildren.
Spangler was a school bus driver for Weston High School in Jackson Parish.
