Robert Earl Burton Dead
Robert Earl Burton was born March 21, 1909 and died February 18, 1928 at the Missouri State School in Marshall, Missouri, at the age of 18 years, 10 months and 28 days. Robert has been an invalid for the past eight years and bore his suffering without a murmur. He was taken to the Missouri State School on April 9, 1927 in the hope that his health might be restored but nothing could be done for him. His father preceded Robert to the grave some years ago but he leaves to mourn his depature, his mother, Mrs. T.F. Burton, three sisters, Mrs. W.E. Mead, of Sturgeon; Mrs. L.D. Ferguson of Moberly and Mrs. W.C. Mobley of Clark and three brothers, Edgar and Howard of Sturgeon and Johnnie who is also at the Missouri State Hospital in Marshall. Besides a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Sturgeon Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev. S.A. Bennett and burial was in the Perseverance cemetery (Lick Fork Cemetery) west of Sturgeon.

Robert Earl Burton, was the son of Thomas Franklin & Dora Frances Robinson Burton. Robert never married, he was single at the time of his death. Robert's cause of death is listed as Brocho Pneumonia, he was 18 yrs, 10 mos, 27 ds old at the time of his death. Missouri State School in Marshall, Saline Co., Missouri was listed as the informant on Missouri Death Certificate #7384. Burial took place on 19 Feb 1928.
