Mrs. Belle (Brown) Harris, age 103 of Monterey, passed away at her residence on Tuesday evening, January 27, 2009.
Mrs. Harris was born in Overton County, TN on September 7, 1905 to the late Marion and Dovie Austin Brown.
Mrs. Belle Harris is survived by: 4 Sons: M.J. Harris, L.N. Harris and wife Betty, Jerry Harris and wife Mary, and J.B. Harris and wife Gale; 3 Daughters: Bertie Davidson and husband Lewis, Carrie Lou Vaughn and husband Floyd, and Bessie Lee Harris; 1 Sister: Myrtle McDonald; 17 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 19 Great Great Grandchildren, and a special Grandson Bobby Harris also survive.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two sons; Billy C. and Joe L. Harris, one daughter; Auda Mae Harris, one grandson; Donnie L. Smith, three sisters; Ida Brown Ray, Alpha Brown Stamps, Omega Brown Ledbetter, and four brother; Chamie Brown, Cordell Brown, Elanza Brown, and L.P. Brown and 2 daughter-in-laws; Carrie Poston Harris, and Bessie Smith Harris.
