Alfred Newton Singleton - my husband's grand uncle - was the third of four children born to Essick Francis Singleton (1861-1917) and Dennine Mode Singleton (1861-1923) (my husband's g-grandparents).
Alfred's two siblings that we know of were Arthur Essick Singleton (1886-1968) (my husband's grandfather) and Francis Elizabeth Singleton Harding (1887-?).
Alfred was married to Elnor Maud Whitney on 12 October 1913 in East St. Louis, Illinois at the First Christian Church. No children were born to Alfred that we have found to date.
Alfred was a train engineer and died in San Antonio Texas of Tuberculosis (that he apparently had contracted in St. Louis, Missouri) at the age of 34.
We would love to communicate with any of the descendants of Elnor and determine what happened to her after Alfred died.
