Miss Minnie Shaffer
__Miss Minnie Shaffer, 875 Oakland road NE, a Cedar Rapids resident for 86 years, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home at 12:05 p.m. Monday, following a brief illness. Born March 15, 1865, in Lyons, she came to Cedar Rapids at the age of three years.
__The only survivors are a nephew, Albert Shaffer of Cedar Rapids and a niece, Aggie Hooberry, of Pine Bluff, Ark.
__Mrs. (sic) Shaffer was a member of the Peoples church and Cedar Rebekah lodge No. 494.
__Services will be conducted in the Turner chapel at a time to be announced later. Burial will be in Linwood cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 1 p.m. Tuesday.
