Daisy Frances Galloway Austin, of 9 Henderson Road, died Jan. 29, 2002, at St. Francis Hospital after an extended illness.

Born in Pickens, she was adaughter of the late Rufus and Margaret Adkins Galloway. She was retired from Carolina Blouse and was a member of Airport Road Baptist Church, where she was the pianist for 17 years.

Surviving are her husband, Carl H. Austin, of the home; two sons and daughters-in law, Mike and Jan Austin of Taylors, and Randy and Linda Austin of Greenville; three sisters, Rhoda Davis and Ruby Fossett of Piedmont, and Edna Duvall of Patrick; a brother, "Dink" Galloway, of Anderson; three grandchildren, Jimmy Austin, Christy Mooney and Carla Styles; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sisters and brothers, Eddie Durham, Lennie Duncan, Vessie Chastain, Willard Galloway, Ivory Galloway and the Rev. J.V. Galloway

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.

Memorials may be made to Airport Road Baptist Church Building Fund, 821 Old Airport Road, Greenville, SC 29607.

Funeral service: 2 p.m. Friday at Airport Road Baptist Church, where the body will lie in state 30 minutes. Interment will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the residence.
