Carrie Lou "Bit" Lollis Burroughs, 85, of 12 Hindman Street, widow of Thomas Richard "Dick" Burroughs, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007, at Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Ware Shoals, SC, she was a daughter of the late Matthew and Nora Davis Lollis. She retired from the Kendall Company, and was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Peggy Scott, and Deborah McGuffin, both of Pelzer; son, Richard Gary Burroughs of Salisbury, N.C.; sister, Grace Owens of Piedmont; brothers, Truman Lollis of Pelzer, and Raymond Lollis of Simpsonville; two special nephews, Ray Vaughan, and Bill Vaughan; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, at Bessie Road Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Griswold and the Rev. Stan Candler officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
The family is at the home of a daughter, Deborah McGuffin, 207 Ballard Road, Pelzer, and will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.
