Ruth McHenry, 86, of Flora, died at 11:25 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2002, at St. John's Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Reverend Roscoe Rose officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Flora.

Mrs. McHenry was born on February 17, 1916, in Clay City, the daughter of Henry and Versa (Zimmerman) Bissey. She married Harold D. McHenry on January 26, 1937, in Detroit, Mich. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1979.

She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Flora. She was a member of Triangle Sunday School Class, United Methodist Women and Flora Senior Citizens.

Mrs. McHenry is survived by two sons, John McHenry and his wife, Sandy, of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Karl McHenry and his wife, Lynnea, of Janesville, Iowa; three daughters, Anita Mowery and her husband, Bob, of Big Lake, Alaska, Beth Hefkey and her husband, John, of Auburn, Wash., and Janice LaCasse and her husband, Larry, of Rochester Hills, Mich.; two brothers, Jack Bissey and his wife, Jewell, of Florence, Ala., and Dale Bissey and his wife, Mary, of Tuscola; five sisters, Eula Skelton, of Flora, Edith Reinerd and her husband, Dean, of Mexico, Mo., Audrey Weiler and her husband, Fred, of Flora, Doris Sanders and her husband, Dave, of Quincy, and Lola James and her husband, Dick, of Tewksbury, Mass.; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Hal, two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or Flora Senior Citizens Center.
