Mary Opal Taylor Dorsey, 88, of Newport, went to be with her Lord Thursday, October 30, 2003, at Baptist Hospital of Cocke County.
She was a homemaker and a member of Intercontinental Church of Gad.
Her husband, Bruce Dorsey; parents Marion and Rhefina(Jaynes) Taylor; and brothers, Earl and Junior Taylor; and stepchildren, Ed Dorsey,Irene Arp,Pauline Smith, and Frances Settlemyre preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Betty Dorsey of Cosby, and Wayne and Pauline Dorsey of Gatlinburg; and daughter Shirley McMillen of Newport; stepdaughters, Gladys Darter of Missouri and Imogene Keckler of Missouri; and special grandson, Robbie Ellison.
Mrs. Dorsey will also be missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins and a host of special friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, Oct 31,2003, at 2:00pm at Brown Funeral Home with Johnny Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at McMillan Cemetery.
The family will recieve friends Friday, Oct 31,2003 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service.
Brown Funeral Home has been honored to provide the final arrangements for Mrs. Mary Opal Taylor Dorsey.
