George W. Bellamy was born in Missouri in December of 1867. He was the son of William Henry and Mary Jane Bellamy. He married his wife, Lou Blanche Jones, in Stillwater, OK on December 5, 1894. They had a daughter named Constance. Lou died in 1900.
George was an early day pharmacist in Oklahoma, becoming the Executive Secretary of the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association in 1933.
He became the first Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma in 1907 and served until 1911 under the first Governor, Charles Nathaniel Haskell. (bio by: Pammy In Oklahoma)
