Final Rites Set For Ex-Wichitan Maud Carnahan
Funeral services for Maud B. Carnahan, 81, New York City, former Wichitan, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Downing Mortuary.
Mrs. Carnahan was born March 26, 1878, at Paris, Tex. She became a resident of Wichita, at the age of 5 and resided in the city until 1954 when she moved to New York to reside with a daughter, Mrs. Mary C. Dawson, Plattsburg (N.Y.) Air Force Base.
She was a member of Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge, Women's Relief Corps and Daughters of Union Veterans. Her husband, Henry C. Carnahan, employed by Fox-Vliet Drug Co. here, died in 1929.
Survivors besides Mrs. Dawson include a son, Hal C., Topeka, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The Rev. W. E. McCoy, pastor of Hilltop Manor Community Church, will officiate at funeral services. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
