Bill achieved his life long dream of retiring and moving back to his home state of Texas in 1980, to pursue a second career on his farm. Bill remained an active member in his community and served in various leadership positions in Knights of Columbus, American Legion, the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the former Hillsboro Kiwanis Club, as well as being a vital member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
