---William Allen died Tuesday, September 14, at his home two miles south of here, aged eighty-eight years, six months and twenty days.
---He is survived by his widow and nine children, thirty-five grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. The children are Mrs. J.D. Russell, Ben Allen, Jim Allen and Will Allen of this community, Mrs. Anna Osborn of Yarrow, Mrs. Eva Huges of Atlanta, Mrs. George King of Baring, Harve Allen and Mrs. Vera Wilson of Des Moines, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Phillips of La Crosse and Mrs. Dora Brooks of Alexandria.
---Mr. Allen was a member of the Christian Church here and a good man.
---The funeral was held at the Christian Church Wednesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Walter Anderson of Brookfield and Rev. George Shepherd of the Penticostal faith. Interment in Elmer cemetery.
