Funeral for James B. Braswell, 83, of Decatur will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Griffith officiating.
Burial will be in Johnson Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mr. Braswell died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2001, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born May 26, 1918, in Morgan County to Burrell Walker Braswell and Mattie Lou Means Braswell. He worked at Fruehauf and served in the United States Army during World War II, where he received the Bronze Star Medal for heroism during the Battle of the Bulge. He was the widower of Macie L. Braswell.
Survivors include two sisters, Heddy Thompson and Marie Ratliff, both of Hartselle.
Nephews will be pallbearers.
