Edythe Sackett
A memorial service for Edythe J. Sackett, 77, Rapid City, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Behrens Mortuary. The Rev. Tim Vann will officiate.
Mrs. Sackett died Sunday at a Rapid City hospital. Cremation followed.
She was born in Iowa Dec. 18, 1902. Later she moved to Gettysburg where she finished high school. She graduated from nurses training at Abbott Hospital, in Minneapolis.
She married Fred Sackett May 29, 1927. at Watertown. They moved to Rapid City in 1950 and to Arlington, Texas, in 1970.
Earlier this year they moved back to Rapid City to retire.
Mrs. Sackett was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Rapid City.
She is survived by her husband, Fred of Rapid City; one son, Robert of San Mateo, Calif., one brother, Chauncey "Jeff" Mylcr of Rapid City, and two grandchildren.
