Madeline was born in Ohio on March 1, 1929. She was adopted by Edward and Pauline Jaeger when she was a toddler. Her father died when she was young, and then she was raised by her mother, Pauline. She married Robert Francis Smith on July 24, 1949. They lived with her mother Pauline and Aunt Loretta Fisher in North Ridgeville, Ohio. On August 30, 1951 she had a son, David Edward Smith. They then adopted a daughter Barbara Ann Smith (birthdate-August 24, 1955.) Madeline worked at the North Ridgeville Schools as head cook for many years, retiring in 1995. Madeline had two grandchildren, Jenny Stark and Danny Maxwell. Also two greatgrandchildren, Victoria and Olivia. I only have a few memories and some of them are: when I would visit you we would stand by the front door and guess what color the next car that went by would be. We also would go down to the basement and play games like red light green light and mother may I, then we played with your two dogs Mandi and Brandi, They were shih-tzus. We also went to Lake Erie out on the boat. there was a play set by the docks and you always pushed me on the swings. I only got to see you a few times because you lived in Ohio and I live in Oklahoma, but the few times I saw you were very fun. You died on December 22, 2005 and I was 6 years old. It was a very sad Christmas for us. You are buried in St. Peters Cemetery, in North Ridgeville, Ohio. I will always remember you! I love you grandma! your great granddaughter, Tori
