Excerpt from John Christopher Kern's 1945 Biography:

"Ruth K. Logue was the youngest of the Kern family. She attended grammar school in Vallejo and finished in Delhi. Then she attended high school at Livingston where she graduated and then had a course in Healds Business College in San Francisco. She learned shorthand, typewriting, and also a complete business course. Ruth worked in the Land Settlement Office in Delhi. She married W.B. Logue of Delhi, a fine young man, well-know in Delhi and Ballico, who was formally a railroad man of Los Angeles where he was employed the greater part of his business life before coming to Delhi.

Ruth K. Logue continued to work for the State Land Settlement until home duties required her assistance. Then she quit to work on the ranch. They had two children, Dan and Rosie."
