He passed away Monday, August 30, 2004, in Denison, Texas.
Mr. Alexander was born April 5, 1918 in Celeste, Texas. He was the son of Erman Lee Alexander and Ehula Lee Duncan Alexander. He was a machinist and retired with E-Systems. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He married Lue Frances Barnett of Wolfe City, Texas April 21, 1939 and was a member of Whitewright Church of Christ.
Mendal was preceded in death by his wife, Lue Frances Alexander; and his parents, Erman Lee Alexander and Ehula Lee Duncan Alexander.
He s survived by son, Narvin Ray Alexander, Whitewright, Texas; daughter, Kay Joyce Alexander England, Denison, Texas; brothers, Gaston Alexander, Celeste, Texas, Nat Alexander, Ben Wheeler, Texas; sisters, Sybil Hutcheson and Melba Compton, both of Celeste, Texas and Peble Renfro of Greenville, Texas. He was also survived by six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Nellie Shrum.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2004, at the Whitewright Church of Christ.
Arrangements are under the direction of American Funeral Services, 4312 W. Crawford Street, Denison, Texas
