John Bedford Brown, 64, of Route 3, Clinton, died Thursday morning, November 19, at the Lake City Hospital.
He was a retired coal miner and a member of the Rains Grove Baptist Church in Campbell County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Peggy Daugherty Brown; four daughters, Mrs. Lillan Cantrell, Mrs. Frances Stewart, Mrs. Jean Jones, and Mrs. Barbara Cerda, all of Michigan; three sons, Frank and James Brown, both of Detroit, Mich., and Bill Brown of California; his brother, Robert Brown of Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Worley of Caryville, and Mrs. Bonnie Allen of Elk Valley; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday in the chapel of the Martin Funeral Home in Lake City by the Rev. Richard Phillips and the Rev. Ernest Ward. Burial was in Anderson Memorial Gardens, Clinton. Martin Funeral Home, Lake City, was in charge of arrangements.
