In 1913 labor strikes in the silk mills of NJ took him to Chicago IL for work. Later he tried farming in Knox IN where his Naturalization Papers were granted in 1922. Paul then got work at Carnegie-Illinois Steel in Gary IN. His son and grandson were also mill workers. They were all assigned the same locker used by Paul Dec. Paul is buried at Calvary Cemetery in Portage IN with his wife, two sons and a daughter. Paul was 82.
