Services Held Wednesday for Lyle Boster, 74
Lyle Boster of route 1, Mora, died at his home Monday, July 11, at the age of 74. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the United Methodist Church of Mora with the Rev. James Gaughan officiating. Harvey Toenies was the soloist and Mrs. Bernard Nordenstrom was the organist. Jeffrey Boster, Gregg Boster, Robyn Boster, Kurtiss Persson, Daniel Persson and Scott Persson were pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers included John G. Erickson, Carl Mitchell, Douglas Gibson, Ronald Hendershot, Oscar Larson and Jake Hanenburg. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery at Mora. Dresser Funeral Service, Mora, was in charge of arragements. Lyle Luverne Boster, son of Luther and Stella Boster, was born May 9, 1903, at Rolfe, Iowa. He moved to Cottonwood County, Minnesota, in 1921 at the age of 18. He was married to Nora M. Doherty July 9, 1924, at Windom. They were the parents of seven children (another son died in infancy). In 1941 the Bosters moved to Kanabec County. Mr. and Mrs. Boster just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary July 9. Boster is survived by: his wife, Nora; six sons, Dalton C. of Fairbanks, Alaska, Marlyn of Cambridge, LeRoy of Buno, Gary of Minneapolis and Roger and James, both of Mora; one daughter, Mrs. Mel Persson (Lyla) of Mora; 26 grandchildren, one great grandson and a number of nieces and nephews.
