She was the first child born to Harmon and Annie Camper Lehmberg, on July 7, 1889. at Fairview, Wyo. She was the first girl child born at that place. Their home was located southwest of the Joe Linford ranch. Her parents and grandparents were some of the first pioneers to come to Star Valley.

She was married to Franklin Burton Steed Jan 21, 1910 by Every Barrus. They lived at Auburn where all 11 of their children were born. They homesteaded about 320 acres southwest of Auburn, living near the foothills long enough to prove up on the ground, enduring many hardships. They moved to Afton in 1933, where they bought a home which they enjoyed very much.
Pearl was always cheerful and ready to help anyone in need. Her family all loved her and liked to visit her. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker, and her family will always remember her as such.
Pearl and Bert celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1960 with their children.
