Birth: Dec. 12, 1840
Death: Oct. 31, 1903

Thomas Luster married Sarah Knight on May 5, 1859. The couple had seven children. They were James Robert, Mary M., twins Thomas Brookins and William Bruce, Alice, Laura and George Register. Sarah and Thomas lost three children in early adulthood. The deaths happened within a span of one year. Thomas Brookins died in August of 1892. Mary M. Died in July of 1893. George Register, the baby of the family, died just four months later, in November of 1893. After Mary's death, Sarah and Thomas took in her daughter, Ila Minnie, who was only two years old at the time.

Oak Hill Cemetery-There are 3 cemeteries in Crawfordsville named Oak Hill. The oldest one is the one likely to have the Confederate veterans buried in it. Take Washington Street North out of Crawfordsville to the stop light which is Lafayette Avenue. Turn...(Read more)
