LaFaun Morgan, a former resident of Fort Worth, peacefully went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at a care facility in Abilene.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Keys Church of Christ near Tahlequah, Okla. Her ashes will be buried next to her husband in Park Hill Cemetery, prior to the service.
LaFaun was born Dec. 4 to Hague L. Lindsay and Reba Albright Lindsay in Fort Worth. She was the oldest of three children. LaFaun married Jesse E. "Gene" Morgan, Nov. 7, 1947. They had one son, Kelly Morgan.
LaFaun was raised and lived most of her life in Fort Worth, but also lived in Abilene while attending college and during the last few years of her life. She was also a resident of Park Hill, Okla. She worked part-time giving piano lessons, touching up photographs in Fort Worth, and worked part-time in a physician's office in Tahlequah.
LaFaun had a passion for all kinds of music, loved good art, and adored Emily Dickinson's poetry. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Gene.
Survivors: Her son, Kelly Morgan and his wife, Nancy, of Abilene; five grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
