Glenn Richard Brown was born June 10, 1935 in Red Lion, PA. He was the son of H. Earl and Edna Wilson Brown. H. Earl Brown moved his family to Chanceford Twp. York County, PA they resided on the "Homeplace" a farm on Brown Road. When H. Earl retired he sold the farm to his son Glenn. Glenn married Betty Eichelberger Haines June 25, 1971. No children from this marriage. Betty was a widow with three children, Randy S. Haines, Brad E. Haines and Rebecca M. Haines Kerstetter.
Glenn farmed for twenty years later worked at Olin Flinchbaugh for twenty six years. Glenn was a member of the York County Horseshoe League, he was inducted into the York County and Pennsylvania Horseshoe Hall of Fame. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Brogue, PA.
Glenn had a massive stroke in the Oakland, CA airport after visiting his step-daughter, Rebecca. He died at the York Hospital, York, PA May 5, 2003, he is buried at St. James Cemetery, Brogue, PA
