J.C. "Joe" Ronnebaum
Seneca-J.C. "Joe" Ronnebaum, 88, Seneca, died Thursday, Feb. 14, at a Seneca hospital.
Mr. Ronnebaum was a farmer and stockman.
He was born March 4, 1896, on a farm north of Oneida, the son of Arnold and Agnes Flottermesch Ronnebaum. When he was four years old the family moved to a farm south of Seneca. He attended Diamond rural school.
Mr. Ronnebaum was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Seneca and the St. Joseph's Society of the church.
He was married to Emma Rottinghaus Feb. 18, 1925, at Kelly. She died July 25, 1962.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Eleanor Kohake, Seneca, Mrs. Dorothy Dwerikotte, Wichita, and Mrs. Marie Dwerikotte, Beattie; three sons, Leonard Ronnebaum, Linus Ronnebaum and Melvin Ronnebaum, all of Seneca; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church here. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery at Seneca. Rosaries will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today and Sunday at Lauer Funeral Home here. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
