Rachel Beaver was a daughter of Peter Beaver and Susannah Hodson. She traveled west along the Oregon Trail in 1859 along with her brother, James Beaver, and others. They are mentioned in William and Lovina McCormick's account of the wagon train. Rachel married Randolph Thomas Rose on January 22, 1860, in Canyonville, Douglas County, Oregon.
